Cranial nerve (CN) lesions are observed due to congenital, infectious, neoplastic formations, migraine and head trauma. Along with the patient's age, clinical findings neuroradiological imaging studies guide diagnosis. Isolated OCNP rare condition usually secondary major In addition to, there may be unilateral without any evidence neuroimaging abnormality. physicians should vigilant such cases that perform detailed neurological follow-up for complaints.

Traumatic Oculomotor Nerve Palsy
Oculomotor nerve palsy generally presents with mydriasis, blepharoptosis, and impairment of extraocular muscle movement. The incidence of primary traumatic oculomotor nerve palsy in craniocerebral trauma is approximately 1.2% [1]. The causes of oculomotor nerve palsy are congenital, traumatic, vascular, migrainous, and parainfectious. Especially in children, it is often caused by congenital fac...
متن کاملIntraneural hemorrhage in traumatic oculomotor nerve palsy
Isolated traumatic oculomotor nerve palsy without internal ophthalmoplegia is a rare condition after closed head trauma. The nerve strain leads to intraneural edema with nerve swelling on T2-weighted magnetic resonance (MR) images and traumatic disruption of the blood peripheral nerve barrier with contrast enhancement on T1-weighted MR images. In this patient, susceptibility-weighted MR imaging...
متن کاملA Rare Presentation of Isolated Oculomotor Nerve Palsy due to Multiple Sclerosis in a Child
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory, demyelinating, neurodegenerative disorder of the central nervous system (CNS) of unknown etiology. Isolated oculomotor nerve palsy is found rarely in children with MS. We present a case of MS in 10-year-old boy, who had bilateral ptosis associated with medial gaze restriction. The extraocular muscle examination demonstrated bilateral adduction pa...
متن کاملIsolated Oculomotor Nerve Palsy Following Minor Head Trauma : Case Illustration and Literature Review
Isolated oculomotor nerve palsy (ONP) attributable to mild closed head trauma is a distinct rarity. Its diagnosis places high demands on the radiologist and the clinician. The authors describe this condition in a 36-year-old woman who slipped while walking and struck her face. Initial computed tomography did not reveal any causative cerebral and vascular lesions or orbital and cranial fractures...
متن کاملDelayed Onset of Isolated Unilateral Oculomotor Nerve Palsy Caused by Post-Traumatic Pituitary Apoplexy: A Case Report
Post-traumatic pituitary apoplexy is uncommon, most of which present with a sudden onset of severe headache and visual impairments associated with a dumbbell-shaped pituitary tumor. We experienced an unusual case of post-traumatic pituitary apoplexy with atypical clinical features. A 66-year-old man presented with mild cerebral contusion and an incidentally diagnosed intrasellar tumor after a f...
